Kathy Barta Martin--April 2002

Kathy is married to Paul and lives in Elkhorn. She has 4 children, Matthew, Joey, Kelsey & Sam.

Robin Berry Hutfless

Robin passed away on August 10, 2001 due to ongoing complications from the heart transplant she had in October of 1990. She is survived by her husband Kevin and her sons Joshua (17) and Martin (12). Robin spoke around the country on organ/tissue donation and was in a documentary called "The Kindness of Strangers" done by the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness that was shown on HBO. Robin was active in the New Hearts Organization, the National Kidney Foundation and Nebraska Organ Retrieval, helping to raise funds and promote organ donation. She also participated in the Transplant Olympics, competing in badminton, swimming and bowling, winning a bronze medal. In her spare time, Robin enjoyed softball, volleyball, bowling, gardening, cooking and chasing her kids.

Scott Bruhn--January 2012

Scott owns Pheasant Haven Hunting Acres, Scott Bruhn Enterprises and Bruhn Packing Company.

Cheryl Burris Keester--December 2000

Cheryl is married to Brad and lives in Lincoln, NE . They have four children, Eric (8), Adam (4) and Luke (2). They had a baby girl named on Anna on Christmas day 2000. Cheryl graduated from UNL. She currently stays at home taking care of her kids.

Bob Buscher--July 2000

Bob currently lives in Elkhorn. He is the vice-president for John Roth & Sons, Inc. In his spare time Bob enjoys boating, golf, video production, working in the yard and hockey.

Kathy Cabbage--September 2005

Since graduating in 1980, I have spent over 20 years in sales, training and management. I have three beautiful children; Karson (22), Laura (15) and Jackson (4). I have also been blessed with a wonderful granddaughter who is approaching 2 years old. I enjoy Nebraska Football, cooking, music, volleyball, gardening and friends.

Jamie Carda--July 2000

Jamie married Trina and they have three children: Matthew (10), Danielle (8) and Brianna (5). Jamie currently lives in Humboldt, Iowa. He is a seed sales manager for a company that provides agronomy inputs and animal feeds. In his spare time Jamie enjoys outdoor sports activities, golf, hiking, bike riding, fishing and camping.

John Carda--August 2005

Much has happened to me since our 20th. I am married for the first time to a gal from Canada. (Jennifer) We were married Aug of 03. She teaches in the Bellevue schools and is an athletic trainer. I am starting my 21st year of teaching and athletic training at Elkhorn High School. We do not have any kids yet, but are working on that. I continue to stay very active running marathons, hunting, fishing, playing golf, (poorly I might add), and enjoying may latest pastime, flying planes. I have had a wonderful chance to see Elkhorn grow and the school change.

Rachelle "Shelly" Christiansen O'Dell--August 2005

Rod and I were married on March 12th this year. We've recently built an A frame log home in Elk City. We have 5 kids together and 1 granddaughter. I currently work for Millard Refrigerated Services and have been with them for 7 years now. Rod works for O'Dell Turf, the family business.

Clark Coffin--July 2000

Clark is married to Shannon and they currently live in Austin, Texas. Clark graduated from UNL with an Engineering degree and put his career on hold to assist his parents who are in poor health. He enjoys boating and wakeboarding on Lake Travis and gathering with the Capitol of Texas Nebraskans to watch Husker football. Clark states they actually have a lot of Husker fans in Texas.

Debbie Davison Wieseler--August 2005

Married to Jerry Wieseler for 13 years. They currently live in Waterman, Illinois (60 miles west of Chicago) . Debbie has a daughter, Alanah, 10 years old and son, Jake, 8 years old. Debbie is currently employed at Castle Bank where she is the lead customer service rep. Debbie enjoys watching her children's baseball and soccer games and Alanah's dance programs. She also enjoys walking, bike riding, traveling and reading.

Denise Dau Wallace--July 2000

Denise lives in Omaha with her husand Scott and two children, Jaime (17) and Ryan (15). Denise is a Paraprofessional working for a small accounting firm, and in her spare time, enjoys playing soccer and volleyball.

Pat Dunn--July 2000

Pat married Lee Ann Smith and they have two children, Gabe (7) and Blaise (5). Pat currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina where he is a Structural Engineer. In his spare time Pat enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, practicing Tai Chi, playing his guitar and consuming his favorite malted beverage.

Kara Elenga Shainholtz

Kara passed away on May 23, 2014 after a 10 year battle with brain cancer.

Mary Beth Feller Leaver--August 2005

I have been married for 23 years to Chris and we have 4 girls. Two are in college, one in high school and one in elementary. I enjoy coaching my youngest daughter's softball team and love(d) watching my other girls in athletics and dance squad. I also enjoy boating, traveling and love to read.

Lisa Gerken Benson--July 2000

Lisa is married to Rich and they have three children, Josh (13), Zack (11) and Jake (7); and they currently live in Castle Rock, Colorado. Lisa is a stay-at-home mom and in her spare time she enjoys decorating her friend's homes.

Pam Goodhard Wieseler

Pam passed away on November 18, 2000. She left behind two children, Jessica and Grant. Pam was a nurse and enjoyed riding her bike, reading and spending time with her children.

Brad Gosch--September 2005

Brad is married to Chris and they have 4 children, Pete (24), Carly (18), Kalyn (18) and Alexis (5). They reside in Omaha. Brad works with his dad and brother at G&S Inc as a Developer/Commercial Construction Manager. In addition to family time, Brad tries to stay as active as possible participating in golf and basketball.

Trent Grace--July 2000

Trent has been divorced twice, is currently single and has three children, Billy (16), Ashley (13) and Corey (6). Trent lives in Windham, Maine, where he is a loan officer for a mortgage company. In his spare time he enjoys time with his kids more than anything, as well as scuba diving, camping and Martial Arts.

Jeff Hawks--July 2000

Jeff married Karen and they have four children, Kristin (18), Kaylee (10), Jacalynn (7) and Jessica (3). Jeff currently lives in Castle Rock, Colorado where he is an equipment manager with Castle Rock Construction. Jeff enjoys camping in the mountains and working in his yard.

Randy Housley--July 2000

Randy is currently divorced and has two children, Mike (17) and Danny (9). Randy lives in Elkhorn and is self-employed at Housley Lawn and Nursery Sales, Inc. and Housley Bros., Inc. In his spare time Randy enjoys fishing, hunting, boating and going to his children's activities.

Robyn Hilbers--July 2006

I am a designer for an interior design firm in Lincoln, NE. I currently live in Gretna, Nebraska where I am actively pursuing my bachelors in business degree from Peru State College. I have no children. I have 2 puppies, Harley and Tasha, they are labrador retrievers (Harley is yellow and Tasha is a black lab). Am active in Home Builders of Lincoln; International Interior Design Association and Allied Member of American Society of Interior Design. In addition to that I enjoy volunteer work for mission groups with my church. I have enjoyed traveling as much as possible, including highlights to Hawaii and a Carribean cruise in the spring of 2006.

Kurt Hoskovec--July 2000

Kurt married Debbie Edgerton and they have two children, Alex (6) and Samanatha (3). Kurt currently lives in the Brookside area of Kansas City, Missouri. Kurt is employed by Sprint where he manages a Call Center Technology team for Sprint PCS. In his spare time Kurt enjoys activities with his family, working in the yard and playing with technology toys.

Doug Jebens--April 2015

Doug is married to Michelle and they have a son Nick 18, and Kalie 16. Doug lives in Kearney, NE and is an Engineer P.E. with Nebraska Public Power District. He enjoys tinkering with his rare 1931 A400 and Challenger. In his spare time he gives tours at the Kearney Classic Car Collection http://www.ccckearney.com/ As a Planning Engineer for NPPD, Doug is involved with development of Sub-transmission and Distribution systems of Kearney and many other communities across Nebraska.



Alan Kahnk--January 2001

Alan married Suzanne and they had a baby girl named Emma Rose in January. Alan currently lives in Elkhorn and is the General Manager for Moberg Enterprises. Alan enjoys visiting with friends and farming.

Kara King Bohannon--November 2008

I married John Bohannon March 4, 2005 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. He's a Texas boy and works in the gaming industry up in Black Hawk, Colo. We/I recently opened a new retail store in Lakewood, Colo, called Positively Jake, selling the full line of Life is good(R) products--not a franchise. I've also been freelance writing and editing for about 10 years. We are members of and regularly attend Arvada Covenant Church in Arvada, Colo. John and I brought home our baby boy, Patrick Logan, on October 1, 2008 when he was nine days old. We�re in the process of adopting him (from the U.S.). He was born on Sept 22nd and is beautiful, healthy, and growing like a weed. Side note: John was transferred to Bossier City, Louisiana in April 2004. I followed him in August and was there for nearly two years. Interesting place, Louisiana. ha. We're thrilled to be back in beautiful Colorado.



Christine Korth Levine--July 2000

Chris married Doug Levine and they have five children, Michelle (13), Susan (8), Kaitlyn (8), Jessica (6), Nichole (6). Chris currently lives in Omaha and is a Paraprofessional for Millard Public schools and a Foster Parent. In her spare time Chris enjoys camping and having fun with the kids.

Laura Lincoln Post--July 2000

Laura is married to Dave, they have one son, Justin (16) and reside in Omaha. Laura is a sales associate at Younkers. In her spare time, Laura enjoys going to concerts and watching Justin participate in high school sports.

Anita Martin Gray--July 2000

Anita is married to John and they have two sons, Ryan (17) and Josh (14). They currently live in Omaha. Anita is a housewife and part-time food demonstrator. In her spare time she enjoys riding bikes, gardening, cross stitching and traveling.

Lynn McPhillips Stamps--July 2000

Lynn married Greg and they have three children, Kayla (13), Jacy (8) and Melanie (5). Lynn currently lives in Austin, Texas. Lynn has been a State Farm auto claim rep for 15 years. In her spare time Lynn enjoys boating, hiking, gardening/landscaping and watching her girl's sporting events.

Ed Miller--September 2005

Ed has been married to Jane for 18 years. They have a daughter (Meredith) who is 13 and they live in Omaha. Ed enjoys family time, running 5k,10k, and half marathon events, deer hunting, aviation, and travel. Ed is Vice President of Facilities for Gallup and heads up lease negotiations, architecture, and construction for Gallup�s 42 offices in 20 countries around the globe.

Elizabeth Miller Harris--July 2000

Liz is married to Ric. They don't have any children, but they do have two cats - Louis & Willie and one dog - Chili. They reside in Denver, Colorado. Liz is a Registered Nurse at the Children's Hospital in Denver. In her spare time, Liz does a lot of hiking. She has hiked the Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango and has climbed 35 peaks above 14,000 feet in Colorado. She also does a lot of gardening, rubber-stamping and volunteer work.

Ray Nichols--July 2000

Ray is married to Rhonda and they have five children, Melissa (14), Jessica (9), Angelina (8), Raymond (7) and Collin (6). They currently live in Elkhorn. Ray is making a living as a plumber, carpenter, electrician, mason and "all around man". In his spare time, Ray enjoys fishing, hunting, camping and working on vehicles.

Roy Nichols--July 2000

Roy is married to Kasey and they have four children, Amanda (15), Aimee (10), Kendall (6) and A.J. (6). Roy and his family live in Omaha (Millard). Roy is involved in Foster Care, and in his spare time, enjoys camping and fishing.

Ruth Nichols Collins--July 2000

Ruth married Steve Collins and they currently live in Bellville, Ohio which is a small town like Elkhorn in the middle of Cleveland and Columbus. They have two children, Racheal Anne (17) and Megan Rene (12). Ruth is a full time mother and a part time manager at Fast Eddies while her husband works for Time Warner Communications. In her spare time Ruth enjoys golfing with her husband, music, gardening, movies and family time.

Calvin Paasch--July 2000

Calvin married Anne Fowler from Ralston and they have 4 children, Ellen (11), Ethan (9), Lauren (7) and Logan (4). Calvin currently lives on a farm 1 mile north and 1 mile west of Mount Michael. Calvin is farming about 1500 acres with his dad, waiting for his helpers to get older. In his spare time, Calvin reads every night, goes deer hunting, but mostly watches his kids play ball, dance etc...

Mark Peterson--July 2000

Mark married Fonda and they have two children, James (3) and Jack (10 months). Mark currently lives in Justin, Texas which is just north of Fort Worth. Mark is a procurement quailty assurance engineer for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company - material management. Mark enjoys competition water skiing, automotives and family in his spare time.

Mark Pilkington--March 2004

Mark married Janna and they have four children, Troy, Cade, Callahan & Camdyn. Mark currently lives in Elkhorn. Mark is a teacher and golf coach at Millard North High School. In his spare time Mark enjoys playing with his kids, going on dates with his wife and golfing.

Duke passed away on April 22, 2005 in Chico, California from respitory problems.

David Polk--July 2000

David married Lisa Rozelle (class of 84), they have been married for 15 years and have 5 children, Cassie (13), Jessie (10), Jeremiah (8), Jillian (3) and Rebekah (3 months). Dave currently lives in Lexington, South Carolina. Dave is self employed running Polk's Furniture Services where he handles furniture refinishing and re-upholstery. In his spare time Dave enjoys coaching his son's baseball, basketball and soccer teams. In addition, he has done major renovations and additions to their home.

Kerri Ponec Vaughn--May 2020

Kerri is married to Bob and they live on an acreage north of Glenwood, IA with their two kids, Amanda (23) and Kendra (21) and their dogs, Diesel and Tony. Amanda graduated from UNL in December and her job hunt has been stalled by the virus. Kendra is a junior at UNL and is completing her semester at home. Kerri is self-employed. In her spare time she enjoys antiquing, reading, gardening, cross stitch, knitting and spending time with her kids.

Joyce lives in Blue Springs, Missouri and is married to Thomas. They have 3 children, Michelle, Stephanie and Thomas.

Alan is married to Carla and they have two children, Henry Alan (9) and Alexander William (5). Alan currently lives in Elkhorn where he is a farmer. In his spare time Alan enjoys hunting, fishing and cooking.

Laura Redberg Rohwer--July 2000

Laura married Jerry Rohwer and they have 4 children, Michael (20), Jarrod (17), Jordan (10) and Justin (10). They currently live in Elkhorn. Laura stays home and takes care of the children and farms with the family.

Connie Rookstool Wilson--August 2008

I married Jon Ron Wilson in August of 1982. He is an okey converted texan and I am a yankee converted texan, currently living in Gainesville. We have been married 26 years and for our 25th we went on a east carribean cruise in October of 2007; we passed right through the Bermuda Triangle and made it safely back to Florida and home again. We used to waterski, we used to fish but we still have a very fast boat. My husband works for Weber Aircraft and they make airline seats for most all airliners. I have worked at about everything in this town of 15,000 and still haven't found my trade. I am currently working as a substitute teacher. Jon's father Big John Henry Wilson works for Lockhead in Ft. Worth as a mechanic for the F-15 and whatever other fighter they come up with. We have no kids, just two cats and that's enough for us. My sister Mauri has had enough children for us all so if we need to borrow a couple we ask her. She has one 7 year old, Shawna Elizabeth, and one 5 year old, Nicky who thinks his name is Nicky Bohicky; and no one can tell him any different.

Dennis Shavlik--July 2020

Well not much has changed except getting older, too many aches and pains, work schedules and now Covid19 closing things resulting in lack of getting to gym as often as I should. OK maybe that is just an excuse for me getting out of shape. Still live in Elkhorn and currently going on my 40th year at Union Pacific RR. My current position for the last 4 years or more has been a principal engineer primarily working on the PTC (positive train control) project. If all goes as planned I would like to retire by May of 2021. My wife Arlene and I have been married for 33 years already, wow how time flies. She recently retired from her latest position with Elkhorn School System and we plan to do more camping and traveling once I retire. My daughter Michelle lives and works in Lincoln Ne. and during October she also works as the director of makeup at Eagle Hollow Haunts. My son Michael went to Oregon University after his graduation from Doane University so he could pursue his PHD in Molecular Biology. He is already in his 3rd year in the PHD program working with research projects and teaching . I still do an oil or acrylic painting from time to time but my hands are not as steady as they used to be so the finer details are harder to do. Maybe when I retired I can find more time to do more paintings as I have been busy with work and other projects like building a 10x10 deck with pergala and water feature in my back yard to replace some of the old landscaping. Hugh Schuett--July 2000

Hugh is married to Lynn Guthrie-Schuett and they have 4 children, Jessica (15), James (13), Alexandra (12) and Steffen (6). They currently live in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. Hugh is employed as a college instructor. In his spare time, Hugh enjoys riding motorcycles, jet ski's and camping (all with the family).

Susanne Schmidt Waltermeyer--July 2000

Susanne married Wade and they have two children, April (16) and Erin (10 1/2). They currently live in Omaha. Susanne is an Administrative/Financial Assistant for Valmont Industries. In her spare time she enjoys bike riding and reading.

Rick lives outside of Elkhorn and has 3 daughters, Jessica, Jordyn & Jade.

Bryan Thompson--July 2000

Bryan married Kathy Lacombe of Waterloo, Nebraska 16 years ago. They have three children, Lisa (15), Michelle (12) and James (11). Bryan currently lives in Elkhorn. Bryan works at St. Joseph Hospital as an industrial maintenance mechanical engineer where he has been employed for 20 years. Bryan is also a part time farmer.

Darla Unruh Thompson--April 2009

Darla has been married to Kevin for 22 years and they have two children, Kyle (17) and Dylan (15). They currently reside in Omaha. Darla is the VP National Account Strategic Business Unit for CSG Systems. In her spare time, Darla enjoys attending her boys sporting events, traveling, shopping and volunteering for organizations such as Project Nightlights an organization that transforms bedrooms for seriously ill children.

Teri Wingate--May 2015

After I graduated from Elkhorn and NU I worked in Omaha at CSI for 10 years before joining the Peace Corps and serving in Niger, West Africa as an environment Volunteer. When I got back I moved to DC and worked at the Peace Corps headquarters for 8 years, finished a masters at GWU and then worked as the HIV Prevention Chief for the CDC in the Ivory Coast. I am currently the deputy county director for the CDC working in Kampala, Uganda.

Theresa Witt Kreifels--February 2004

Theresa is married to Jeff and they have 3 children, Brett, Ethan and Lauren. They currently live in Springfield, NE where Theresa works as a part-time business manager in a dental office and as a beauty consultant.
**On February 4th Theresa appeared on "Wheel of Fortune". She did a great job and won $45,500 that included cash and a trip to Colorado.**

Jonathan Wollen and Julie Gubbins Wollen--December 2008

Jon and Julie Gubbins Wollen have lived in Kingman, KS since 1996. They have great friends and enjoy their community. Jon is a State Farm Agent on Main St America and Julie works with him in the office. Incredibly, Jon has served on the USD331 school board for 6.5 years now. Jon has been with State Farm since 2/1987. Jared born 5/1984 lives downtown KC and works for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as an accountant(KU Grad). Susan born 8/1988 is a Sophmore at Kansas State University majoring in hotel/restaraunt management. Kristen, a high school senior at Kingman High School will be attending KU in the fall. She is the KHS 1600m record holder, plays basketball and sings beautifully. Jon and Julie are staring an empty nest in the face starting this fall. Scary.



Brad Zikas--February 2012

Brad has been divorced twice and has no children. He is currently living in Nicholson, GA with his wife Teresa who has two children. He is a construction supervisor for Tomorrow's Homes.
